Different: The letters are already on a crossing grid. Swap them to form words across and down in 15 swaps or fewer.

Yes. The six Word Trail games on this page require no account or download. JavaScript is needed for the games, but these descriptions and links work without it. Waffle’s basic daily board also opened without an account during our check.
No. On Word Trail, Word Ladder has a Daily mode using a 16-puzzle rotation. Letter Lock, Word Groups, Word Grid Logic, Word Scramble and Word Search are fixed practice collections. Waffle’s standard daily puzzle is on its official website.
No. Word Trail is independent of The New York Times, Wordle, Connections and other third-party games. Our Word Groups uses original practice sets. Our separately listed Spelling Bee is a small original practice game, not the NYT game. Waffle belongs to its own creators; we link to it and do not host its game or assets.
